Walter Diekmann

Walter Diekmann , also Walther Diekmann (born June 29, 1898 in Bünde , Westphalia , † December 8, 1959 in Oldenburg (Oldenburg) ) was a German politician ( CDU ). He was Lord Mayor of the City of Oldenburg.

Life

Walter Diekmann was elected mayor in October 1946 and held this office from November 1, 1946 to June 22, 1950. During his service, he campaigned for social housing in the city, which began the year after the war Population changed one and a half times. From April 20, 1947 to April 30, 1951, he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament in the first electoral term . Since March 28, 1951, he belonged to the DP / CDU parliamentary group.
