Walter Haarmann

Walter Haarmann (born July 16, 1907 ; date of death unknown) was a German painter , object artist and art teacher .

life and work

Walter Haarmann initially attended the Folkwang School and received lessons from u. a. Max Peiffer Watenphul . In 1931 he moved to the Düsseldorf Art Academy and later studied at the Berlin State Art Academy . In 1931 he took part in an exhibition of the Rhenish Secession . Following his studies, Haarmann worked as an art teacher in Düsseldorf until 1960 . In Düsseldorf he lived at Wildenbruchstrasse 43.

Little is known about the early work of Walter Haarmann. Later he mainly created abstract and constructive compositions.

Works

Works by Walter Haarmann are in the possession of the Folkwang Museum , the Von der Heydt Museum and the Artothek of the City of Düsseldorf.
