Walter Queißner (born November 5, 1921 in Stuttgart , † February 26, 1997 ) was a German long-distance runner and sports official.

Life

Walter Queißner joined the Stuttgarter Kickers in 1936 and was an athlete there for a long time. In 1940 he set a German youth record over 1500 meters and was Württemberg youth champion in the forest run . He later played three international matches for Württemberg. After his sporting days, he stayed with the Kickers and was vice-president from 1962 to 1966, before he was elected president of the club in 1967. With his resignation from this office in 1979 he was made honorary president of the Kickers.
