Walter Quiring (theologian)

Walter Quiring (born October 5, 1898 , † March 18, 1977 ) was a German theologian and head of a seminary .

Life

Walter Quiring attended the Vohwinkel Preacher School of the Free Evangelical Churches from 1921 to 1925 . After that he was a preacher in a parish in Weichersbach until 1934. In 1934 he was appointed as a theological teacher at the Vohwinkel Preacher School . From 1935 to 1961 Quiring was the rector of the preacher 's school. He was married to Emmi nee Franz, with whom he had nine children.

Walter Quiring was instrumental in setting up the Evangeliums-Rundfunks (ERF) in Wetzlar and was a member of its honorary board as theological advisor. He was the preacher of the first radio program broadcast by the ERF.
