Walter Ravenna

Walter Ravenna ( 1922 - 1985 (before July 9)) was a Uruguayan politician .

The physician Walter Ravenna, who belonged to the Partido Colorado , was Uruguay's Minister of Health from June 20, 1968 to March 1, 1972. He then held a titular mandate as senator in the Cámara de Senadores in the 41st legislative period from February 15, 1972 to December 5, 1972 for the Sublema UN Reeleccionista of the Lista Caputi . During this parliamentary membership, he took over the management of the Interior Ministry on October 31, 1972. On February 13, 1973 he changed the department. From that day on he held the post of Minister of Defense and held this until September 1, 1981. At the same time, he took over the management of the Ministry of Housing from September 1, 1976 to June 11, 1977. On June 7, 1982 he was appointed Uruguayan Ambassador to Argentina . He was inaugurated on August 2, 1982. He acted as such until February 6, 1984. Ravenna was also the Uruguayan ambassador to the USA .
