Walter Renner (politician, 1940)

Walter Renner (born March 25, 1940 in Säusenstein ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Renner was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1983 to 1990 .

After completing compulsory school, Renner graduated from the St. Pölten commercial school and in 1956 joined the Lower Austrian regional health insurance fund. From 1986 he was the district manager of the Pöchlarn district office. Renner worked in the political field in 1970 as Vice Mayor of the municipality of Säusenstein and was municipal councilor in Ybbs an der Donau from 1971 to 1993 , where he was the city councilor in charge of finance between 1980 and 1984. Renner was also district party chairman of the SPÖ Melk an der Donau from 1983 to 1990 and also from 1968 local party chairman of the SPÖ Säusenstein. In addition, from 1969 Renner was active as the works council chairman of the Pöchlarn district office. Renner represented the SPÖ from October 1, 1983 to December 16, 1986 and from January 27, 1987 to November 4, 1990 in the National Council.
