Walter Roth (Senator)
Walter Roth (born November 15, 1922 in Nuremberg ; † May 17, 1994 in Bruck in the Upper Palatinate ) was a German trade unionist.
After attending elementary and secondary school, Roth joined the Bavarian financial administration in 1940, passed the employment test for the senior service, and then worked as a tax inspector. In 1952 he resigned from the civil service at his own request to become union secretary at the DGB in the Bavarian region , which he held until 1985. At DGB Bayern he also headed the department for civil servants and public service. He was also a member of several committees and boards of trustees. From 1963 to 1985 he was a member of the Bavarian Senate , from 1970 he was its second vice president.
