Walter Scholger

Walter Scholger (born November 9, 1934 in Graz ; † March 14, 2016 there ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and magistrate official. Scholger was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1984 to 1986 and from 1993 to 1994 .

After compulsory school, Scholger attended vocational school and learned the profession of electrical installer . In 1958 he entered the service of the City of Graz's magistrate and worked for the municipal utilities, where he was chairman of the works council and central works council chairman of the Grazer Stadtwerke . From 1974 he also worked as a member of the chamber council for workers and salaried employees in Styria and held various functions in the union of municipal employees . In addition, from 1986 he was chairman of the control of the ÖGB Graz and the surrounding area. Scholger represented the SPÖ from January 21, 1984 to December 16, 1986 and from March 24, 1993 to November 6, 1994 in the National Council.
