Walter Spiegl

Walter Spiegl (born July 28, 1934 in Asch , West Bohemia) is a German author, translator and editor of crime and science fiction literature. He also used the pseudonyms Bert Koeppen and Bert Horsley.

Life

Spiegl worked for Ullstein Verlag as the editor of the Science-Fiction Stories series and the Alfred Hitchcock's paperback series Kriminalmagazin and Ullstein Kriminalmagazin . In the 1980s he published several non-fiction books. He also worked as a translator for Ullstein Verlag (including stories from Raymond Chandler ). As Bert Koeppen he edited the series Utopia Science Fiction Magazin for Pabel Verlag . In 1955 he co-founded the Science Fiction Club Germany .
