Walter Stahlschmidt

Walter Stahlschmidt (* the thirtieth November 1940 in Plettenberg ) is a former mayor of the town of Plettenberg.

Stahlschmidt attended elementary school in Holthausen and began an administration apprenticeship with the city of Plettenberg on April 1, 1955 at the age of 14. In addition to his job, he completed career courses for middle and senior administration. In 1963 he was accepted into the middle class of the city administration and in 1965 into the upper class. After three and a half years of study at the Administration and Business Academy in Hagen, he obtained the municipal diploma at the age of 30. In 1968 he became head of the building administration office, in 1983 city treasurer and on April 8, 1986 city director. Stahlschmidt held the office of full-time mayor from October 1, 1999 to 2004. His successor was Klaus Müller (SPD).

Walter Stahlschmidt is married and has two children.
