Walter Terence Stace
Walter Terence Stace (born November 17, 1886 in London , † August 2, 1967 in Laguna Beach , California ) was a British civil servant, educator and philosopher who wrote works on Hegel and mysticism .
Walter Terence Stace studied at Bath College , Fettes College in Edinburgh and Trinity College in Dublin . From 1910 to 1932 he worked as a British civil servant and judge in Ceylon . There he also dealt with Hinduism and Buddhism . From 1932 to 1955 he taught philosophy at Princeton University . In his writings he tried to reconcile naturalism with religious experience.
In 1951 he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences .
