Walter Trott (born July 1, 1907 ; † unknown) was a German bobsleigh driver . In his career he was twice German champion in the four-man bobsleigh (1935, 1937).
Career
Walter Trott started for the BC Oberhof. After he had secured the German four-man bobsleigh championship the year before with Wolfgang Kummer , Fritz Vonhof and Rudolf Werlich , he took part in the 1936 Olympic Games in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with the same line-up . The German quartet got off to a good start and set the fastest time in the meantime, but the sled got too much in a 180-degree hairpin bend and tipped over. The entire crew fell out of the bob, which arrived at the finish without a guide. In 1937 Trott was again German champion in the four-man bobsleigh.
