Walter Züst

Walter Züst (* 1931 in Wolfhalden ) is a Swiss author and local historian .

Life

Walter Züst, son of a silk weaver and smallholder , was born and raised in Wolfhalden in Appenzell Ausserrhoden . He did an apprenticeship as a businessman and came to Grub in 1958 as a community clerk .

Züst is co-author of the community histories of Grub and Walzenhausen and the history of the Appenzell reading societies . In old age he began to write historical novels, mostly on topics from Appenzell history.

Züst has been married since 1955 and has four children.
