Walti Dux (born October 6, 1958 in Winterthur ) is a Swiss comedian , television presenter and musician .

Life

Walti Dux has been a solo artist since 1992. After a few years as a rock musician, he worked as a songwriter from 1992 to around 2003. Since 1998 his professional focus has been comedians. In the meantime he has performed over 2000 appearances; in addition to stand-up comedy and music comedy, his specialty is “Waltigrams”. These are musically rhyming, humorous laudations that Dux sings and has already given Swiss speeches on the national holiday (First August speeches). Walti Dux appears at galas and has designed several full-length programs. He is mainly in Switzerland and increasingly in Germany, such as B. in the Quatsch Comedy Club Berlin and in the Schmidt Theater Hamburg. Dux worked as an organizer in Switzerland from 1998 to 2011 for the Acoustic Song Contest, from 2008 to 2013 for Kids on Stage and since 2012 for the Comedy Sofa. Walti Dux also works as a TV presenter for the TV station Tele Z in Wallisellen . With his quiz 1 of 4 he already had 200 programs. Walti Dux published several CDs and wrote and composed various Christmas carols. On December 23, 2018, the main edition of the Tagesschau on Swiss television presented a Christmas carol under billions of stars .

Walti Dux has three grown children and is married to Marisa Dux. As the comedy duo S Duxe they moderate large events together, host their own event Comedy Sofa and have been on the road with their evening-length comedy program since 2019. In 2006, Marisa Dux and Walti Dux were awarded the City of Uster's Culture Prize for their work as organizers . In addition, Walti Dux was awarded the Eastern Switzerland Falcon Award as "Entertainer of the Year 2019".
