Waltraud Fischer

Waltraud "Walli" Fischer (born April 2, 1937 , nee Waltraud Kühl ) is a former German handball player .

Life

In eleven years, she played 60 international matches for the German national team from 1955 to 1966 . In 1965 she won the bronze medal with the team at the World Championships. She was the first national player for TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen . With the later national player Gisela Hoey-Meeser , she won a total of four national titles on the Rhine (1965, 1966 and 1974 in the hall and 1973 on the small field). She is now working as a women's manager for TSV Bayer 04. In 2010 she received the Golden Badge of Honor from the association for her services and in 2013 was allowed to register in the Golden Book of the City of Leverkusen.
