Les Wampas is a French psychobilly band that was formed in 1983. The group became known in particular through their front man and lyricist Didier Wampas (real name Didier Chappedelaine). He often sings very high and wrong on purpose, so that his voice has a high recognition value . The band's live concerts are known for Chapedelaine's energetic stage show and ability to sweep the crowd away. Since the release of the album "Kiss" (2000), he has hugged a viewer after every performance and gives them a kiss on both cheeks.
Her most successful songs so far were “Manu Chao” (after the artist of the same name ) from 2003, which reached number 20 in the French charts, and “ Chirac en prison” in February 2006 (number 46).
