Traveling exhibition
A traveling exhibition is an exhibition that is not tied to a fixed location, but changes location at intervals.
Traveling exhibitions may include all areas that are otherwise subjects of exhibitions, be it art, education, entertainment, etc. A special case are so-called migrant cabinets .
Traveling exhibitions can be specially put together so that the exhibition is dissolved after the end of the traveling phase and the objects are distributed among different collections . Occasionally it happens that a traveling exhibition is fully or partially integrated into the permanent exhibition of a museum or a similar institution after the end of the traveling phase .
