Wanfotang grottoes

The Wanfotang Grottoes ( Chinese  万 佛堂 石窟 , Pinyin Wànfótáng shíkū , English Caves of the Ten Thousand Buddhas / Wanfotang Cave Temple  - " Caves of the Ten Thousand Buddhas") in the district of Yi (义县) in the south of the Chinese province of Liaoning are a Buddhist Cave temple from the time of the Northern Wei Dynasty , in which many Buddhist statues and murals have been preserved.

The grottoes have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (3-45) since 1988 .
