Wang (catch)
Empress Wang (王 皇后, birth name unknown) was an empress of the Wei Dynasty at the time of the Three Kingdoms . She was the third wife of the third Wei Emperor Cao Fang .
She was the daughter of Wang Kui (王 夔), the administrator of the imperial freight forwarder . She was promoted to empress in 254 after Cao Fang deposed his second wife Zhang on false accusations against her father Zhang Ji (張 von) on the part of the powerful Sima Shi . It is not known if she was an Imperial concubine before that.
That same year, Cao Fang thought of a coup against the Sima family . Although he didn't carry out the plan, the news got through. Sima Shi deposed him and demoted him to Prince of Qi , the title he had already held under the rule of his father Cao Rui . What happened to Empress Wang is unknown, although she is believed to have received the title of Princess of Qi .
