Wang Lequan

Wang Lequan ( Chinese  王樂泉  /  王乐泉 , Pinyin Wáng Lèquán ; * 1944 in Shouguang , Shandong Province ) is a Chinese communist politician. He was a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China from 2002 to November 2012 .

After holding various positions in his home province, most recently as Vice Governor from 1989 to 1991, he moved to the Xinjiang Autonomous Region , initially as Vice Chairman of the local People's Congress . He has been the CCP Party Secretary there since 1995.
