Wangwu Shan

Wangwu Shan ( 王屋 山 ) is a mountain range about 40 km northwest of the city of Jiyuan in the north of the Chinese province of Henan . It contains famous Daoist sites, including the Wangwu Shan Grotto, one of the ten great Daoist grotto canopies . The mountains belong to the Wangwushan-Yuntaishan National Park .

According to tradition, the yellow emperor / yellow ancestor (Huangdi) is said to have climbed Mount Wangwu and received the book of elixirs ( danjing ) there.
