Introduction: 2008

The coat of arms of Pristina ( Albanian  Emblema e Prishtinës or Stema e Prishtinës , Serbian Грб Приштине Grb Prištine ) is the coat of arms of the city of Pristina , capital of Kosovo . It was introduced in 2008.

history

The goddess on the coat of arms was a Dardan deity . The statue was found in Ulpiana , Pristina's predecessor city , which is why this symbol is also the official coat of arms of Pristina. The statue is believed to be 6,000 years old. The Ulpiana double plant is located on the territory of today's Republic of Kosovo, about 8 km south of the capital Pristina near the town of Gračanica . To the north of the ruins flows the Gračanka River, which once separated the two systems.
