Coat of arms / seal of the Tibetan government in exile

The coat of arms of Tibet , which is used by the Tibetan government in exile , shows in its center the Buddhist Dharma wheel stylized as a mandala with eight spokes and the “three-colored jewel” in the center, which is supported by two snow lions holding a banner. The inscription on the banner reads bod gzhung dga 'ldan pho brang phyogs las rnam rgyal ("Tibetan government, Gaden palace, victorious in all directions"). Above it, three white mountain peaks indicate the Himalayas and the Transhimalaya mountains with the holy mountain Kailash in the middle. The crescent moon and the sun stand between the mountains of the Himalayas. Some elements of the coat of arms can also be found on the flag of Tibet .

The Tibet Autonomous Region , like the other provinces and autonomous regions of China , does not have its own coat of arms. Symbols of the government in exile are forbidden there.
