The coat of arms of the municipality of Altmühldorf was the official emblem of Altmühldorf from 1969 to the dissolution of the municipality on May 1, 1978 . The coat of arms shows a golden ciborium in the upper half and a red mill wheel as a talking symbol for the community in the lower half .

history

The symbol of the municipality's coat of arms shows the historical development of Altmühldorf.

The host vessel in the upper half symbolizes the 350-year history of the pilgrimage to Ecksberg . It was first mentioned in a document in 1453 and was only abolished in 1803 through secularization .

The lower Mühldorfer Rad shown in the lower part of the coat of arms stands for the name of the place. In its illustration it corresponds to the wheel in the coat of arms of the city of Mühldorf am Inn , but where it is shown as a whole mill wheel. The connection between the municipality and the neighboring city is shown on the coat of arms.

The coat of arms colors black and gold (yellow) come from the coat of arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg , since Altmühldorf belonged to the Salzburg region as Hofmark within the Mühldorf exclave until 1802.

The approval of the use of the coat of arms was given by a resolution of the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior of April 28, 1969. With the incorporation of Altmühldorf into the city of Mühldorf am Inn on May 1, 1978, the coat of arms lost its official validity.

Official seal

The official seal of the community was inscribed in the upper half-arch Bavaria , in the lower half-arch Altmühldorf municipality .
