The Ward Glacier is a glacier on the Loubet coast of Graham lands north of the Antarctic Peninsula . On the Arrowsmith Peninsula, it flows in a south-westerly direction to the Vallot Glacier .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1960 after the British geotechnician William Hallam Ward (1917-1996), who took part in the Canadian Arctic Institute of North America's expeditions to Baffin Island in 1950 and 1953 and from 1959 to 1971 as secretary the International Commission of Snow and Ice , from which the International Association of Cryospheric Sciences (IACS) emerged in 2007 .
