Knot

First an overhand knot is tied, then the end is tied through the overhand knot so that an overhand knot is created on slip . To secure it, another overhand knot is placed in the end as a stopper .

Alternatives

If half a punch replaces the overhand stopper, the Eskimo Bowstring Loop Knot (Ashley # 1019) is created.

With the Honda knot, the end only goes through the upper part of the overhand knot.

If the fixed part is put through the overhand knot, the arbor knot is created . This is a noose that pulls itself tight.
