Wartburg talks

The Wartburg Talks of Catholic fraternity members of the RKDB were a series of socio-political events that were held once a year in September and October at the Wartburg in Eisenach from 1990 to 2009 . In addition to a fraternity program, the European Commission and a lecture symposium with selected, predominantly prominent speakers on socio-political topics of the current time were the main program items. In 2010, Klassen was awarded the Order of Merit of the Free State of Thuringia for his special, European, all-German and ecumenical commitment.

In the twentieth year the decision was made to end the series of events from u. a. to end organizational, structural, personnel and financial reasons. Resumption in 2019

At the end of 2018, the "Bildungsakademie Sigfridia eV" was founded in the RKDB from the ranks of the KDB Sigfridia zu Bonn and it was decided to continue the Wartburg talks after a long break as part of the academy's offer. The Wartbur talks usually took place in September. The beginning was with a meeting evening for the participants on Friday evening in the Hotel Kaiserhof, Eisenach. The lecture symposium took place on Saturday morning at the Wartburg and ended with lunch. In the early evening, a joint dinner was also taken at the Wartburg, followed by the RKDB European Commission . A prominent keynote speaker gave a keynote speech. On Sunday morning, a pontifical mass was usually held in the St. Elisabeth Church in Eisenach ; the event ended on Sunday afternoon after another lunch.
