history
The Sparkasse Wartburgkreis emerged from the Kreissparkassen Eisenach and Bad Salzungen as part of the regional reform in 1995. Since January 1st, 1998 the institute has been known as Wartburg-Sparkasse .
Sparkasse Museum
The in-house museum conveys the history of the Sparkasse in the Wartburg region from 1822 to the present day in interaction with political and economic history. Numerous exhibits are shown, including a historical savings bank safe, replicas of a savings bank counter from the mid-19th century and a GDR counter. The exhibition is completed by numerous showcases, display boards and the non-public “historical archive” with electronic user space.
Savings Banks Finance Group
The Wartburg-Sparkasse is part of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe and therefore also belongs to its liability association.
