Self service
The term self-service describes the phenomenon that the service, which was previously usually carried out by staff, is carried out in whole or in part by the customer himself. Automatic machines are also used here. The transition to self-service, which has largely displaced the previously common service counter in retail , serves, among other things, to reduce costs , save time and improve availability .
