Reinhard Krebs (born February 10, 1959 in Weimar ) is a German CDU politician and district administrator of the Wartburg district in Thuringia .

Life

After graduating from high school in Weimar in 1975, Krebs learned the trade of agricultural technician with high school diploma in Gotha-Sundhausen. From 1980 to 1985, Krebs studied agricultural sciences at the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg and graduated with a degree in agricultural engineering. After professional positions in agricultural consulting in southern Thuringia and responsibility in agricultural testing for Thuringia, he completed a legal clerkship in Hesse, which he successfully completed as an assessor for the agricultural administration in 1994. Reinhard Krebs is married, has two children and lives in Eisenach - Stedtfeld .

Career

From 1996 to 2006, Krebs was head of the Agricultural Office in Eisenach, in this role he was involved in the restructuring of agriculture in the Wartburg district.

In the local elections in Thuringia in 2006, the then non-party Krebs ran for the CDU as a district administrator in the Wartburg district . With 56.4% of the valid votes cast, he was elected to the district administrator of the Wartburg district in the runoff election.

In 2009, Krebs became a member of the CDU .

In the local elections on April 22, 2012 , he received 25,535 votes (56.4 percent) and was thus confirmed in office. In 2018 it received 27,833 votes (71.3%).
