Wasa (also Wasaw , Wassa ) is the Akan language of the Wasa ethnic group with around 309,000 speakers (2003) in the southwest of Ghana .
Recognized dialects of the Wasa are Amenfi and Fianse.
There is a certain intelligibility with Abron .
