The raccoon pancreatic gel ( Eurytrema procyonis , syn .: Concinnum procyonis Schell, 1985) is a parasite from the class of flukes (Trematoda). It attacks the pancreatic ducts of raccoons , and rarely cats . The area of distribution is the United States .
The raccoon pancreatic gel is 1.7-2.5 mm × 0.7-1.3 mm in size. The land snail Mesodon thyroidus serves as the first intermediate host for the suction worm , the second intermediate host in the life cycle of the parasites is probably arthropods .
