Water tower Stebenich

The Stetterich water tower is a water tower in the Stetternich district in Jülich , Düren district .

The 42 m high water tower was built in 1902. After the tower, which was then in Jülich, was destroyed in World War II on November 16, 1944, it was rebuilt in 1957 on the outskirts of Stetternich. The tower was renovated in 2005. In 2013 there was a bacterial load in the water held.

700 m³ of drinking water can be stored in the tower to compensate for pressure fluctuations in the water supply network . The tower is operated by Stadtwerke Jülich and is still in operation.
