Water tower on the flower path
The water tower on Blumenweg is located at Blumenweg 15 . It is located southeast of the old town of Hattingen and west of the Evangelical Hospital Hattingen .
It was built by Hattinger Wasserwerk AG and completed in 1908. The designer cannot be seen from the construction documents.
On March 18, 1945, the main pipe was badly hit in the heavy air raid near the tower; this made the city of Hattingen temporarily waterless.
In the 1970s, the water tower was renovated and sealed with cladding in accordance with the requirements for drinking water supply.
The tower was entered on August 9, 1984 in the list of architectural monuments of the city of Hattingen .
