The Klingenberg waterworks is a waterworks near Klingenberg , a district of the municipality of Klingenberg , and is operated by Wasserversorgung Weißeritzgruppe GmbH. The Klingenberg dam was built between 1908 and 1914 . The tasks of the dam were and are to regulate the Weißeritz, generate electricity and supply the region with drinking water. The waterworks was built between 1911 and 1914. The maximum capacity is 31,500 m³ / d, whereby the average water discharge amount is 12,000 m³ / d (as of 2011) for a supply area with approx. 89,000 inhabitants.
