Sophie Ward (* the thirtieth December 1964 in London as Sophia Ward ) is a British actress .

Life and accomplishments

Sophie Ward is a daughter of actor Simon Ward . She made her debut in 1975 on the television series Shadows . Her first role in a movie she played in The Copter Kids (1976). She starred opposite Rupert Everett in the Oscar- winning comedy A Shocking Accident (1982) . She took on one of the leading roles in The Monk (1990). In the film drama Stormy Passion (1992) she played alongside Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes . In the film drama An Outrageous Affair (1994) she took on one of the leading roles alongside Kerry Fox . In the drama Bela Donna (1998) she appeared on the side of Natasha Henstridge . In the drama Crime and Punishment (2002) she played the role of Dunia , the sister of Rodion Raskolnikov , played by Crispin Glover .

Ward has also performed several times at the Citizens' Theater in Glasgow .

Ward was married to Paul Hobson from 1988 to 1996 . The reason for the separation was the Korean-American author Rena Brennan , who Sophie Ward met while staying with friends in Los Angeles. In 2000 the two married in an (unofficial) ceremony. They have been officially married since December 2014. She has two sons, Nathaniel (* 1989) and Joshua (* 1993) and a stepson Corran (* 1983).
