Viersen waterworks

The Viersen waterworks supplies Viersen and Süchteln with drinking water . It was built in 1890 and modernized in 1965. The water comes from five wells with a depth between 31.5 and 50 m. Among other things, Riesler towers are used for processing. The maximum treatment capacity is 450 m³ per hour or 2.0 million m³ of drinking water annually. The storage tank has a volume of 1100 m³. The Viersen water tower was also built in 1890 .
