Wat Samphran ( Thai วัด สามพราน ) is a Buddhist temple ( wat ) in the district of Sam Phran , Nakhon Pathom Province , about 40 kilometers west of Bangkok . The temple was officially registered in 1985.

The most distinctive building of the temple is a 17-story pink, cylindrical building, on the outside of which a dragon winds its way, which is hollow on the inside and in which there is a staircase, which is partly in very bad condition.

In 2004, Luang Phor Pawana Buddho, a former abbot of the temple, was sentenced to 160 years in prison for allegedly raping a total of 28 underage girls who had lived in the temple. He now faces the Thai maximum sentence of 50 years in prison.
