The former silk weaving mill Arnz Watelerstraße 72 is located in the Schrievers district in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

Watelerstraße is located in the Schrievers district. The listed factories and the factory owners' villa of the former Arnz silk weaving mill were built on this street at the beginning of the century.

architecture

In 1903 the administration building and the gatehouse of the factory were built from exposed brick . The administration building is a three-storey, ten-axis building with a hidden pent roof . The porter's house on the southeast corner of the property is a one and a half-story eaves house made of brick with a cantilevered, sloping gable roof and cellar.

The property is a good example that typically endeavors to create an architecturally designed façade. The documentation value is increased through the integration into a cohesive ensemble.
