Watercoulour is a song by the electronica / synth rock band Pendulum from their album Immersion . It is a production by Gareth McGrillen and Rob Swire, who also wrote and composed the song. On April 30, 2010, Watercoulor was released for sale as the first single from the album. The song is used in the media in the soundtracks of the games Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and F1 2010 .

Music video

The music video was shot by Barney Steel and Michael Sharpe within two and a half weeks. The recording location was the Three Mills Studios in East End , London . Barney Steel explained that massive rain and wind machines were used for the shoot and that they added an "apocalyptic scene" in the end. The video was published for the first time on April 1, 2010 on YouTube . In August 2012 it had over 17 million clicks, making it the most watched video on the official Pendulums channel.

The song was rated differently. It was determined that Pendulum would go further mainstream with the song . Mayer Nissim from Digital Spy gave it three stars and said that one could listen to the track, while Fraser McAlpine from the BBC only gave it two stars out of five.

Charts

The song became Pendulums' only top 10 single in the UK. It rose to number four on May 15, 2010, but was already number 63 on July 3, 2010. In the following week it fell out of the top 75, and on July 31 it was able to celebrate a return to position 70. The next week it dropped to number 74, which was the final stop in the UK's top 75. In New Zealand and Australia it reached number 37 each, in New Zealand it stayed for one week and in Australia for two weeks.
