Waterloo Medal (Nassau)

The Waterloo Medal was donated on December 23, 1815 by Duke Friedrich August von Nassau in memory of all participants in his armed forces at the Battle of Waterloo .

Appearance

The medal is a silver medal with the portrait of the founder on the front and the words Friedrich August, Herzog zu Nassau all around . On the back is an ancient warrior with the inscription Den Nassauischen Streitern bei Waterloo and the signature XVIII. Seen June 1815 .

Carrying method

The ribbon is blue with orange stripes and the award was worn on the left side of the chest.
