The Watsonia is a botanical journal for research on native flora of the British Isles . The magazine is named after the English naturalist William Watson (1715–1787). It has been published since 1949 by the Botanical Society of the British Isles , founded in 1836 .
Watsonia makes its historical articles (excluding notes, Plant Records and Obituaries) available online in digitized form as PDF documents. New issues are made available online about one year after they appear.
