As Wattenkreuzer are sailboats with a length ( LOA called) from about eight meters, but unlike sailing yachts do not have a ballast keel , but a sword equipped. Wadden cruisers are basically large dinghy cruisers . The advantage of a Wadden cruiser is the shallow draft, the disadvantage is the low stability , which makes it ideal for use in the Wadden Sea .
