Weberstrasse (Riga)
The Weber Road ( Latvian Audēju iela ) is a street in the Latvian capital Riga .
It is located in Riga's Old Town and leads from the junction with the sinners road ( Grecinieku iela ) and the Marstallstraße ( Marstalu iela ) to the east. After a short distance the Scharrenstrasse ( Skārņu iela ) joins from the north . In the further course in a northeastern direction Weberstrasse crosses Schmiedestrasse ( Kalēju iela ) and Wallstrasse ( Vaļņu iela ) until it finally meets Aspasia Boulevard ( Aspazijas bulvāris ) after a total of about 250 meters .
The street was first mentioned in a document from 1392. With the demolition of the Riga city fortifications , the road was extended to the east in the direction of the city canal .
The buildings Weberstrasse 5 and 6 as well as the building complex Weberstrasse 7, 9, 11 are listed in the Latvian register of monuments.
