Temporary exhibition

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A temporary exhibition is in contrast to a permanent collection or a special exhibition at the objects from the fundus of a museum or a gallery will be provided only for a limited time to the public for viewing.

While in a permanent exhibition the exhibits are always on display to the visitor on a permanent basis and in a special exhibition loans from other museums are shown for a limited period, in a temporary exhibition works from the company's own collection are usually organized and compiled under a specific theme Viewers shown. Occasionally, however, the boundaries are not precisely defined and therefore the terminology special exhibition is sometimes rather fluid.
