The Wedge Tomb of Cureeny Commons (or Curreeny ; Irish Coimín na gCoirríní or Na Coirríní ; like many similar Irish plants locally known as Dermot and Grania's Bed ) is a very well-preserved, secluded megalithic plant southeast of Curreeny in the townland of Curreeny Commons and south of Silvermines in County Tipperary , Ireland . It is one of the 12 Wedge Tombs of the Kilcommon group in North Tipperary described by Ruaidhrí de Valera (1916–1978) and Seán Ó Nualláin. Wedge Tombs ( German  "wedge tombs" ), formerly "wedge-shaped gallery grave" called, are double-walled, seamless, mostly unarticulated megalithic of the late Neolithic and early Bronze Age .

The Wedge Tomb consists of a double-walled gallery that is approximately 7.0 m long and 1.2 m wide. By a threshold stone ( English septum stone ) are divided from a about 5.0 meter long main chamber and a 2.0 m long pre-chamber. The height of the side stones of the gallery decreases towards the east. The entrance consists of two huge megaliths that resemble the posts of a court tomb . A smaller stone in between indicates a split entrance. Only one capstone remains, but the double wall and the two entrance posts, one of which is sloping outward, are impressive. There is a fallen stone in the gallery that originally blocked half of its width. This gives this tomb, like the huge entrance stones and the tapered gallery, an affinity with a court tomb.
