Ideal basic plan of a wedge tomb

The Wedge Tomb of Inchincurka located west of Shanlaragh, southwest of Macroom in County Cork in Ireland . The Wedge Tomb is located in the townland Inchincurka ( Irish Inse an Choirce , German  Insel des Hafers ) near the confluence of a side street with the main road R585. Wedge Tombs ( German  "wedge tombs" ), formerly "wedge-shaped gallery grave" called, are double-walled, seamless, mostly unarticulated megalithic outgoing Neolithic .

The comparatively large Wedge Tomb is about 4.0 m long and has two preserved (of probably three) cap stones. The smaller one lies in the middle and rests on the larger one at the back, which protrudes beyond the end, similar to Keamcorravooly . At the entrance there are two upright stones with the door panel between them. The side wall consists of five stones on the south-east and four stones on the north-west side, all with decreasing height towards the rear. There are many small stones in the earth there.

Nearby is the Clodagh Stone Row.
