Scheme of a wedge tomb

The Wedge Tomb of Tullycommon ( Irish Tulach Chumann ) is a Wedge Tomb and National Monument about 6.4 km north of the R476 and east of Kilfenora in the Burren in County Clare in Ireland . Wedge Tombs ( German  "Keilgräber" ), formerly also called "wedge-shaped gallery grave", are aisle-free, mostly undivided megalithic complexes from the late Neolithic and early Bronze Age .

The small wedge grave has a gallery that is only 1.65 m long and 0.78 m high. However, a number of stones lie behind the chamber, which are the remains of a second chamber or an antechamber.
