The white brow tree slide ( Climacteris affinis ) is an Australian songbird (Passeri) from the tree slide family (Climacteridae).
description
The 15 cm long bird has a gray-brown upper side, a white stripe over the eyes and yellowish wing bands as well as a black and white striped belly.
Habitat and Distribution
It lives in the interior of Australia in acacia and spinifex bushes , especially near cypresses .
Lifestyle and diet
Most of the time he looks for ants on the ground . But it also picks insects from tree trunks and branches. The tail is not used as a support, and the bird is more likely to sit on branches than to climb tree trunks.
Reproduction
The nest is created in a tree hollow which is mostly close to the ground and padded with animal hair and grass. In the breeding season, from August to December, the female lays 1 to 3 eggs.
