Weissenburg Catechism

The Weißenburg Catechism , written at the end of the 8th century, is a compendium of faith for priests in Old High German. The text, which comes from the Alsatian monastery in Weißenburg or from Worms , contains the Our Father with commentary, a Latin-German confessional scheme , the creed in its apostolic and athanasian form and the “ Gloria in excelsis ”.
